September School Holiday Classes

Sew a Reading Cushion
COST: $70 per class - Class duration 3hr, price includes fabric and notions required for class
SKILL LEVEL: Absolute Beginner
This project is aimed at children 8yrs+ who are beginner sewers (never sewn on a sewing machine before)
But of course more confident sewers are also welcome to attend
CLASS DATES:
Monday 22nd September, 9am - 12pm
Wednesday 1st October, 2pm - 5pm
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Come and join us during the school holidays to make yourself a super cool reading cushion.
This reading cushion is the perfect project for beginner sewers, it has a pocket on the front for carrying your books and other goodies, two snaps to secure the pocket so things don’t fall out and a handle at the top to carry it around.
We will also attach a letter to the front pocket using an applique method.
You get to learn how to sew straight seams and finish edges, as well as topstitching and other sewing skills.

Sew a Teddy Bear
COST: $70 per class - Class duration 3hr, price includes fabric and notions required for class
SKILL LEVEL: Confident Beginners
This project is aimed at children 8yrs+ who are confident beginner sewers (who are comfortable with using a sewing machine).
More confident sewers are also most welcome to attend.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Check out this guy! We have a new style teddy bear for these holidays
In this class we will make be cutting, sewing and stuffing ourselves a bear.
You will get to choose your own body fabric and learn how to attcah the face features, we then get good at sewing around curves by making the arms and ears, then we get to sew him all together and stuff him good, before hand stitching him up.

Sew a Secret Storage Hanger
COST: $70 per class - Class duration 3hr, price includes fabric and notions required for class
SKILL LEVEL: Confident Beginners
This project is aimed at children 8yrs+ who are confident beginner sewers (who are comfortable with using a sewing machine).

Need some secret storage … a place to put your most tresured possessions so that no one else can find them?
Yes? well come join us these holidays and make yourself a secret storage hanger, that hangs in your warddrobe, it can slot in nicely with your clothes and no one will know it there… especially those pesky siblings.

SKILL LEVEL: Confident to Expert Sewers (NOT suitable for beginner sewers)

Boxy zipper pouches are perfect for storing all sorts of goodies they also make awesome gifts for people (christmas is coming)
These pouches are quilted and have a zipper inserted.
