Class Details

COST: $70 per class - Class duration 3hr, price includes fabric and notions required for class

SKILL LEVEL: Absolute Beginner
This project is aimed at children 8yrs+ who are beginner sewers (never sewn on a sewing machine before)
But of course more confident sewers are also welcome to attend

CLASS DATES:
Monday 30th June, 1pm - 4pm
Thursday 10th July, 9am-12pm

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Never sewn on a sewing machine before and want to give it a go?
Well this is the class for you, in this class we make two projects, firstly we start off by sewing ourselves a Drawstring bag, using all straight seams so we can get confident on the sewing machine.
This drawstring bag has a boxed out bottom so it can stand up on its own, we sew on a applique shape and even some decorative trim, than finish it off with threading ribbon around the top.

Next up is scrunchies, everyone loves a good scrunchie right?
For the remaining of the class we just make as many scrunchies as we can until its time to go home.

Drawstring Bag Details

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

• How to cut out your bag

• Sewing seam together

• Attaching applique shapes

• Attaching trims

• Finsihing the bag

• Threading the drawstring

• A selection of fabric's to pick from

• Trims

• Use of sewing machines

• Use of tools & equipment

• Snacks and cold drinks to keep the energy levels up

• Nothing - Just bring yourselves

Project Two:

Scrunchie Details

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

• How to sew your scrunchies

• Attaching elastic

• How to attach safety eyes

• Closing up the scrunchie

WHATS INCLUDED:

• A selection of fabric's to pick from

• Use of sewing machines

• Use of tools & equipment

• Snacks and cold drinks to keep the energy levels up
